Program details

Vermont organic farm and camping work exchange opportunity

Four Springs Farm is a cabin and tent camping on a working organic farm in beautiful central Vermont.  The farm has fruit production, a family garden, poultry for sale, herbs, and spring greenhouses. The property is a 70 acre hillside with west views, springs, streams, fencerows, fields and 25 acres of woodlot. Foot paths and bridges allow exploration of the 40 open acres. Neighbors are out of sight.

About the farm work exchange program

Interested people are welcome to apply to stay on the farm for two weeks and sometimes longer, while learning about farming practices and campground management. Such folks live either in a small cabin, in the farmhouse guest room or their own tent and share meals (mostly Four Springs Farm produced bounty) beginning in early April until the end of October. Work is partially routine (eg.  picking fruit and caring for poultry)  and requires some strength. The campground wash house facilities are available for  work exchangers, wifi is available in the farmhouse. There is usually work most days but there is ample time to explore Vermont as well as the spacious farm itself.
