Peepal Farm is a stray animal recovery center, and an organic farm in Himalayan foothills, near Dharamsala, India. It’s a home that was built for animals to heal, and be heard and for people who want to help.

About the work exchange program

Peepal Farm is interested in people who care about doing good work. They are looking for open people who are ready to learn. If this describes you and you can work independently or as a team, want to work hard, then do not hesitate to apply!

Program details

The work exchange is open for

• Veterinarians
• Veterinary technicians: People with experience in spay & neuter and shelter medicine preferred.
• Film makers: People who can complete a project from shooting to the finished product. Bring your own equipment!
• Artists: Visual artists for creating literature.

3 vegan meals and accomodation in exchange for 6 hours of work, 6 days a week. Minimum commitment is 2 weeks.

Be mindful that sleeveless shirts, short shorts (above the knee), low cut shirts, and tight or see-through clothing are considered risque in that area. For your safety, the safety of others, and respect for the  neighbours please dress conservatively. What might be normal for you, might be seen as weird or even offensive in rural India.
