Amoraleza is a spanish non-profit association founded in 2013 in order to promote close-to-nature healthy lifestyle. Amoraleza sits on 4 hectares of land, in the mountains above the towns of Orgiva and Lanjaron, in Granada, Andalusia, Spain. It borders the Sierra Nevada Natural Park and is 45 minutes south of Granada and 30 minutes from the Mediterranean sea.

About the volunteer & work exchange program

The mission of the volunteer program is to provide a mutually beneficial space for personal development, learning and spiritual evolution. Voulnteers can learn about permaculture, nutrition and neo-shamanism and experience the creation of community.

Program highlights

Minimum stay: mid-March/April-October

Work hours/week: 25 hours

Days off: 2 days/week

Meals: vegetarian food is included

Accommodation: Caravan, bell tent or yurt (depending on availability)

Requirements

• Be dynamic &  motivated.
• Have a passion for health, ecology and spirituality.
• Have previous work experience as a chef or gardener.
• Be reliable.

Preference is given to those who have already joined Amoraleza as short-term volunteer before and have participated in the Sacred Plants Retreats.  It’s a big plus if you have experience working with Ayahuasca or have worked at retreat centers, organised events or cooked for large groups of people. Shorter volunteer opportunities are also available, but contribution towards your meals expenses are required if you’d like to spend only a few days or weeks at Amoraleza.

The fun part

The area is also well-known for its hiking paths and traditional villages. It is possible to go horseback riding, visit the Tibetan meditation centre or organise a trip to Granada, to walk through the Albacin (old moorish quarter), the Sacromonte caves, or the Alhambra, one of the Seven Wonders of the World.

Amoraleza is a strictly vegetarian, non-smoking and drug-free place. Expect basic comfort, not luxury.
