About the free volunteer program

Krishna Eco Farm offers a meaningful volunteer experience rooted in sustainability, community, and spiritual values. Located in the scenic village of Lesmahagow, just 30 minutes from Glasgow, the farm provides an immersive opportunity to live and work in an eco-conscious environment guided by the principles of compassion and simple living. Volunteers support the daily rhythm of the farm across the summer season, gaining hands-on experience in organic gardening, eco-building, alpaca care, and traditional crafts.

Requirements

  • Applicants must be at least 18 years old, open-minded, and physically able to participate in outdoor work.
  • A positive attitude and willingness to respect the farm’s vegetarian, alcohol-free, and spiritually oriented lifestyle are essential.

While no prior experience is necessary, an interest in sustainability, farming, or holistic living is a plus. Volunteers are expected to commit to a minimum stay—typically 2 to 4 weeks—during the farm’s active summer season.
