Rainbow Camp Retreat is located in the ancient tropical rainforest of the Big Island, Hawai’i. Our nature camp culture enables us to demonstrate a healthy living style, create self growth, reflective, meditative and peaceful surroundings, as we guide our camp students through a well-rounded practice of individual self-sufficiency and sustainability, as well as personal growth. Living symbiotically, and off the grid to bond with mother earth and it’s bounty.

We are a sustainable farm looking for an individual with experience in cooking. We have an open spot for a cook beginning as soon as possible.

Your journey will begin with getting away from the fast paced world, learning to live alongside of nature, imparting skills that will take you away from a disposable living, and you’ll learn practical permaculture, horticultural practices, full-circle gardening, and even learn skills to ‘micro farm” your own garden in your home city setting if you desire.

All the while peacefully farming in our beloved Hawai’i tropical rainforest. Rainbow Camp Retreat has developed a unique and sustainable operating farm in a park-like setting. With winding trails of tropical fruit trees and flowering plants along the way, you can feel what it would be like to live in the Hawaiian tropics of time’s forgotten past. It’s easy to connect with the nature of the landscape, especially as the night falls, and you hear the orchestral call of the geckos, tree frogs and cane toads around you. Add the soothing sound of the night rains, and you have a recipe for a supreme night’s rest.

It’s an adventure, a once-in-a-lifetime chance to connect with nature and unplug. A chance to feel rejuvenated and moved emotionally, physically, and spiritually once you’ve completed this journey of mind, body, and soul. Many of the students have come to return, to experience it once again, or even bringing along a friend or loved one to share it together. Either way, a depth of self reflection and growth is sure to happen.
