About the work exchange program
Cohort is an educational residential center in St Ives, Cornwall, offering accommodation and itineraries for schools, colleges, and universities. Work exchange positions are available from February to November each year, with the upcoming season now open for applications. This is an ideal opportunity to gain valuable experience in a beautiful seaside location.
Requirements
- Commitment: Minimum 3-month stay.
- Eligibility: Must be a UK resident and able to provide 5 years of address history for a DBS (criminal record) check.
- Safeguarding: Must align with Cohort’s commitment to safeguarding and the welfare of students and young people.
Available positions
1. Night Support & Housekeeping
- Shifts: 2 on-call night shifts (9/10pm – 7am) and 2 morning housekeeping shifts (10am – 1pm).
- Description: A blend of on-call night support and morning housekeeping duties. Includes private accommodation for the night shifts.
- Requirements: Over 21, reliable, friendly, and professional.
2. Housekeeping (Morning)
- Shifts: 3 hours a day, 5 days a week (10am – 1pm).
- Description: Responsible for room changeovers and cleaning. The role is fast-paced, especially with educational groups coming and going.
- Requirements: Reliable and hardworking.
