Approximately 10 km away from the City of Faro and 4km from the City of Olhão, Quinta dos Cochichos is situated in the eastern part of the Algarve countryside, amidst natural, peaceful surroundings and a big diversity of fruit and exotic trees spread over 1.5 hectares of land, you will feel in perfect community with nature while you walk, watch the magnificent starry nights or relax at the pool. It is a perfect place to enjoy the simplicity of nature, together with family or friends.

About the volunteer & work exchange program

Quinta dos Cochichos is a family run guesthouse in the countryside about 4 km away from Faro and the coast line. Volunteers would need to help with the daily farming tasks. You will learn the basics on how to clean the ground, how to cut grass, trees and bushes, take care of the chicken, organic agriculture, permaculture, olive and caroub picking, the process of turning into olive oil and much more…

Approximate working hours would be 5 hours /day sometimes split into 2 parts, 2 hours in morning and 3 hours in evening or 5 hours in morning and take the rest of the day off.

Volunteers with proof of health insurance will be only eligible for this program. Please, plan to stay for 4 weeks at least, shorter volunteering periods are not preferred by your host.
