About the free volunteer program

The Socotra Creative Centre is a small community space on the island of Socotra, where local tradition meets handmade art. It’s all about keeping old crafts alive, encouraging creativity, and supporting local people through shared skills.

“The Candidate shall stay in Socotra Creative Centre for not less than 4 weeks, must share and teach the locals their skill and produce artworks of value for the benefit of the Socotra Craft Communities, they must share everyday their experience on social media tagging and promoting locals crafts and culture as well as tourism. everyday the candidate works for 5 hours Saturday to Thursday in the centre or outside centre. Must agree to appear on our promo videos of the centre and Island. Also we go to Education Facilities Disseminating cultural information of the Candidate country.

We will provide:

• clean accommodation,
• food,
• WIFI,
• transport from and to airport,
• assistance with tourism information and contacts for your personal navigation of our beautiful Island.

The candidate is responsible for their travels and visas. but we can link you to the tourism agencies in socotra who are collaborators with the centre.”
