“Lean into your dream of animal welfare and get and get paid to volunteer with The Bullpen!

Dog rescue center in Northern GeorgiaDog rescue isn’t our hobby, it’s our passion. We are looking for likeminded individuals to get hands on with the big dogs. We have 2 positions opening March 1st. Open to discuss a later arrival.

Help manage day to day operations at our giant breed rescue and sanctuary located in Norwood, Georgia. The opportunity offers a flexible schedule and we ask for a minimum 6-month commitment but open to discussion.

Priority given to applicants with guardian/giant breed experience. Flexibility and a great attitude are a must!

We are located in Norwood, Georgia. Must be able to tolerate the heat of summer and the cold/rainy weather of winter. Norwood is rural and while a vehicle isn’t required, it does make ‘living rural’ easier for our volunteers.”

Requirements

  • Ability to lift 50 lbs,
  • work outdoors,
  • comfortably interact with 100 lb+ dogs.

Previous work in a shelter or rescue, current dog ownership or farm/construction is a plus.

Your tasks

  • Cleaning dog villas;
  • picking up dog waste in the yards;
  • cleaning food & water bowls;
  • dog laundry;
  • feeding,
  • administering medicines;
  • giving weekly baths;
  • unloading, organizing dog food;
  • taking a dog to the vet;
  • assisting with dog related emergencies;
  • feeding the barn cats;
  • additional tasks as assigned.

What’s in it for You?

This is a paid work exchange position:

  • Volunteer will be compensated with a weekly stipend,
  • $50 a working day after training, and in exchange for 30 hours of work, approx 3.5 days a week,
  • housing accommodations will be provided,
  • utilities and wifi included,
  • residence is a new one bedroom apt, private bath, a shared kitchen and a fenced yard for pets or gardening.
