The Olive Branch El Chorro offers a unique opportunity for volunteers to live and work in the heart of one of the world’s best climbing destinations. With over 2,000 routes and nearly year-round climbing conditions, El Chorro attracts climbers from all over the globe. The guesthouse is just 200 metres from Las Encantadas crag and within easy reach of iconic spots like Frontales, Escalera Arabe, and the famous Gorge. Volunteers join a friendly, international community and have the chance to fully experience the climbing lifestyle while contributing to the daily running of the guesthouse.

Requirements

To join the work exchange program, applicants should be self-motivated, responsible, and able to work both independently and as part of a team. While no specific experience is required, a good attitude and willingness to pitch in are essential. The Olive Branch welcomes people who enjoy outdoor life and are happy to lend a hand where needed—mainly in cleaning roles. Volunteers must be at least 18 years old.

Your responsibilities

The main task for volunteers is cleaning. This includes helping to maintain the communal areas, bathrooms, and guest rooms to ensure the space stays tidy and welcoming. The work is not physically demanding but can become repetitive, so it’s important to come with realistic expectations. Volunteers are asked to work 4 hours a day, 5 days a week, with two full days off to explore, climb, or relax.
