Hawaii farming work exchange

Waihuena Farm is a small-scale, organic garden located off the bike path at the heart of our North Shore beach community (directly across from Pipeline) in Hawaii. The farm is named after the main landmark, Waihuena Gulch, which is the mouth of the 1,000 acre Pupukea-Paumalu Nature Reserve.

Waihuena Farm grows for local chefs, restaurants and health food store; offer a farm intern program; and serve as a community-gathering place with yoga classes, workshops, volunteer days, healthy potluck dinners, educational tours, and occasional farm-to-table events.

Internships are available year around on the farm for the minimum period of 1-3 months. Tasks are various, depending on your previous work experience. If you have some farming background, you could work on more complex farming tasks, but you are also welcome if it’s going to be your first farm job. You might work in constructing farm buildings, maintenance, or even get involved in some marketing projects.
