Living Easy Homestead is located in the historical hamlet of Paul Smiths NY surrounded by 14,000 acres of conservation land. Work exchangers are needed to create organic sustainable and educational environment for visitors to the bed and breakfast on the property.
About the work exchange program
Work exchangers can help in several areas, such as
- Turning the homestead garage into a general store to sell vegetables, eggs, local artwork and antiques and more.
- Gardening tending to the large garden on the property along with all the flowers and herbs help to create a large pumpkin patch for pick your own pumpkins in the fall.
- Mowing and tractor work.
- Moving of large boulders.
- Animal enclosures help: increase the flock tending to chickens turkeys and duck enclosure. Creating new separate spaces for each species. Pigs as well.
- Wood splitting and stacking for fire pits on the property.
What’s in it for You?
In exchange for 25 hours a week of work on the homestead you will by accommodated in a huge private room in a Victorian farm house shared bathroom with 2 other private rooms occupied by college students. Wifi, fully equipped kitchen, common room with coffee station, huge 3/4 porch. Many amenities!
