The Lazy Hostel is the hippest hottest beach hostel on Vieques, Puerto Rico! Located in Esperanza, on the south side of the island, it’s  right in the center of island activities like jet skiing, snorkeling, sailing, scuba diving, paddle boarding and more. Easily walk to five beaches, two groceries, six tour companies and over eleven restaurants and food trucks. There’s something for everyone!

The Lazy Hostel offers up to ten of these volunteer positions at a time year round to qualified applicants who want to visit Puerto Rico and really experience the island of Vieques like a local.

Volunteers run the show cleaning bathrooms, checking in guests, painting furniture, making beds and running events. They also clean and maintain Lazy Jacks, our attached bar and restaurant, which is open later than anything else on the island! Volunteers work either 25 or 28 hours each week for a minimum of one month and a maximum of three months and in exchange receive a bed, food and other perks.
