About the work exchange program

” We are asking volunteers to work 4 hour shifts, 5x a week – everyone gets two days in a row off!
Our schedule is fairly flexible for your needs and the work is never too strenuous – we just need volunteers to make the hostel to be a fun social atmosphere!

Things you can expect to be doing

•  Planning nightly social events such as game nights, BYOB socials, ice cream socials, karaoke/trivia, daytime river picnics, ect. We want you to be creative and get not only people who are staying at the hostel but outsiders to get involved as well!
• If you have experience with social media & websites that is always a plus and something we are looking for! Taking over our instagram to get followers involved and simply expanding our reach.
•  If you have any creative skills we are looking for someone to paint a new mural to add to our collection!
• We ask for a few minutes each night cleaning up the kitchen area before bed so guests can wake up to a nice kitchen.

We are very open when it comes to the work you do – as long as it’s adding to the welcoming and inclusive atmosphere we strive for.”

**Meals are not provided – You do have access to the large shared kitchen area with multiple stove tops, microwaves, fridges, personal drawers & lockers to keep your belongings. The hostel is within very short walking distances to local supermarkets to provide any food, as well as great local restaurants.
