Help Yourself Hostel is located near Carcavelos beach which is about 17 km South West of Lisbon city centre and is one of the best known and loved beach breaks in Portugal.This beach is also considered an ideal beach to practice several aquatic sports as during winter it usually supports strong waves making it the perfect stage to host many championships as bodyboarding competitions, surf, voleyball and football.

About the volunteer & work exchange program

Working and having fun at the same time? Come help in the Help Yourself Hostels managed by a group of international travelers near Carcavelos beach in Lisbon, Portugal. Volunteers will work on one of two shifts, from 11am to 6pm, or from 5pm to 12pm. The first shift is normally responsible for laundering and preparing the beds. The second shift is normally responsible for helping the manager with the check ins. Intermediate English language skills are required for this work exchange opportunity.

Your responsibilites

• Welcome guests, help out in the administration.
• Preparing rooms: strip and re-make bed with fresh bed linen, cleaning.
