Bilston Creek Farm is a family-run hobby farm and an award-winning event venue on Vancouver Island hosting weddings, events, retreats and more. They grow crops, manufacture products with what’s harvested from the farm, and engage the public in a premium agritourism environment including accommodation and catering.

About the volunteer & work exchange program

The farm grows lavender and distill both lavender and cedar oil. The property has an old heritage apple orchard which is harvested and pressed each fall. We also keep bees and harvest raw organic honey. Bilston has a small on-site store which features our hand-made small batch products such as soap, lip balm, warming pillows, culinary products and much more. The farm is home to a variety of fruit trees; apples, plums, pears and walnut. These are complimented by an endless supply of blackberries. There is a large garden, commercial greenhouse, and composting system that all practice organic methods.

This farming operation is all laid on one of the most beautiful backdrops on Vancouver Island. The property is a short walk (guided by Timmy the dog) to a public beach that takes you through a rainforest along a Lagoon. The farm is host to owls, deer, and Canada geese, and home to Douglas Fir, Gary Oak, Arbutus, and Maple trees.

Bilston Creek want to host passionate people from all walks of life and all parts of the world that can contribute in their own way. They would love candidates that would take an interest in harvesting, beekeeping, essential oil extraction, carpentry , gardening, and helping set up their beautiful venue.
