Origen Cacao & Eco Resort is a retreat center & chocolate factory just one hour outside of Medellin set on beautiful and sacred 11-acre land where you can reconnect with the power of earth and spirits. You will be surrounded by the abundant diversity of nature in an unspoilt tropical paradise with exotic birds, beautiful flowers, a crystalline river, abundant fruits. Origen Cacao & Eco Resort always counts on interns to keep the factory and resort going, qualified and willing volunteers are welcome to spend a few months in this magical place.

About the work exchange program

Origen Cacao & Eco Resort is seeking interns who are ready to experience living sustainably and ready to help to build a welcoming community. Interns can choose to focus on bean-to-bar chocolate making, on retreats and sacred medicine, or both. All interns are expected to also help as needed throughout the farm, with the gardens, animals, maintenance, social media and marketing or cooking. Three hours of English lessons per week for the kids are required. You will work with many different indigenous tribes, and your work helps in countless ways!
Interns work 30 hours per week in exchange for accommodation, lon term commitment is preferred (3 months at least).  A small contribution is required to yoin the program ( 125 USD) although it is possible to visit the farm and do a free work exchange. Ask  the host the current free and paid jobs
