Pu’u O Hoku Ranch is a family-owned biodynamic and organic ranch and farm, rustic retreat center, and sublime getaway on the remote and tranquil east end of Molokai, Hawaii. “Pu’u O Hoku” is true to its Hawaiian name — which means “Hill of Stars”— surrounded by more than 14,000 acres of protected land, immersed in the transcendent beauty of forest, sky and ocean.

Pu’u O Hoku is situated at the very remote and subtropical east end of Molokai. If you are looking for a party atmosphere, a place to chill out or somewhere to live while surfing in Hawaii, this is NOT the right place for you.

About the volunteer & work exchange program

Pu’u O Hoku Ranch is always looking for dedicated people who bring energy and enthusiasm.

Whether you have a passion for beekeeping, Biodynamic farming, agroforestry, landscaping with native plants, reforestation, conservation, livestock, slow-food kitchen, hospitality or renewable energy— the odds are they have a job you could do.

Self-motivated applicants are welcome with new ideas infused with respect for local customs and traditions and the social skills to work well as part of a very diverse team.

Temporary positions are available as an intern (6 months min), or the opportunity to do field research as part of your academic education— providing you with a simple, single-bed cabin with shared kitchen and bathroom, a shared vehicle for the weekends and a stipend that varies depending on your previous work experience.
