Regenerative, organic garden work exchange program in Chile

Organic farm work exchange in Chile

Near the coastal village of Curanipe in Chile’s Maule region, this work exchange offers a hands-on experience rooted in organic farming and simple living. In exchange for a few hours of daily work, you’ll take part in growing vegetables, caring for the land, and learning through everyday practice. Life follows a calm, natural rhythm shaped by outdoor work, shared meals, and time in nature. It’s an opportunity to slow down, build practical skills, and be part of a small, welcoming community.

About the work exchange program

Cotiledon is run by a small Chilean-German family creating a regenerative agriculture project in the Maule region, near Curanipe. They have worked on farms around the world, gaining experience in vegetable market gardening and sustainable farming, and now they want to share their knowledge with volunteers. The land is calm and beautiful, with ocean views, a 20-minute walk to the beach, rivers for kayaking and swimming, and hiking routes in the nearby mountains. Work exchangers help develop a 3000-square-meter vegetable market garden from scratch, learn bio-construction techniques as the family builds their house, and gradually work on agroforestry with fruit trees and chickens. The project combines hands-on farming with community, learning, and time in nature.
