Lzone Language Cafe is an international language exchange cafe situated in the vibrant Kyungsung/Pukyeong University area (KSU) of the city of Busan in South Korea. Lzone’s goal is to provide a friendly and open-minded environment where local students and residents can practice English conversation and experience cultural and foreign language exchange while having fun making friends through conversations, games and events.

Busan is the second-largest city in South Korea, after Seoul and a favourite vacation destination for Koreans: loads of beaches and mountains to hike, also a seafood lover haven with Jagalchi Fish Market, Korea’s largest seafood market.

At Lzone you can help local students and residents practice their English through casual conversations, games and events at the LZone Café. In exchange, you’ll receive free accommodation and food as well.

Your work schedule would be from monday to friday, only 3 hours a day (weekends off) or Saturday and Sunday only 6 hours a day (weekdays off)
1-2 cleaning slots per week (just normal house chores like vacuuming, bathroom cleaning etc.) is necessary along with the possibility to help out with other projects if you have special skills (marketing, web design, art project, etc.).

Requirements for volunteers

• being aged between 18 years old to 35 years old (women) or 18 years old to 30 years old (men)
• friendly and sociable (no teaching experience needed)
• open to share your culture and learn from others
• able to speak English fluently (no need to be native speaker)
• professional conduct and excellent personal hygiene
• available to commit to a minimum stay of 30 days

You will receive

• accommodation + food: rice, bread, ramen, kimchi, corn, bean, carrot, etc. in a big kitchen
• korean classes twice a week
• internship certificate available
• homestay program / Female dormitory is available
• new friendships and global contacts
• access to well-organized amenities and facilities such as Wi-Fi, AC, air cleaner, etc.
• personal locker, automated light, digital door locks for security, water machines for purification on every floor
