Ponderosa art center & community is located in the north-east of Germany, in Stolzenhagen. Ponderosa is a team of artists, teachers, builders, gardeners, performers, cultural managers, producers and cultural hosts. The center has several programs to offer such as P.O.R.C.H. summer school, the Ponderosa Tanzland Festival (with its events and workshops, concerts, performances, artists and teachers, and lots more) and the Ponderosa Artists-in-Residence program.
About the program
Each year Ponderosa accepts many work exchangers from all around the World year around, although the busiest time of the year is from April to October . Work exchangers who intend to stay for a short period of time ( a week or less) will receive food and accommodation but participating in any of the workshops won’t be offered for free.Daily tasks would include preparing and maintaining the house for the art center and workshop visitors, kitchen kitchen help, gardening, maintenance, and room cleaning.
Accommodation depends of the season, in the summer time you must be prepared to sleep in tents or in an outdoor shack. In the winter you will be staying in a shared room with other volunteers. Work exchangers receive food as well with no extra cost.
