Come to help Happy Dogs Koh Chang to make a difference to the lives of currently 36 adorable rescued strays on the beautiful tropical island of Koh Chang in Thailand.

This is a great opportunity to gain experience in veterinary care for both veterinary students and animal-lovers alike. Veterinarians, Veterinary students, vet nurses and people that love animals are always welcome. Please, bear in mind that there is no clinic on site for training purpose.

About the volunteer program

Volunteers will have a great opportunity to gain experience in caring for dogs, learning more about dogs living in big packs, their behaviour, treatments of various illnesses, walk the dogs on the beach, socialize them, yet by just simply caring for them and loving them. Your tasks would be some general cleaning and keeping the entire place neat & nice, also feeding the animals.

Requirements

The ideal volunteer is a friendly, easy going and confident team player, mature and is between 25-45 years of age and possess a good common sense and are able to work independently and without supervision.

Volunteering with Happy Dogs Koh Chan is most certainly not a holiday, it’s work, although a very rewarding and fun work.

Happy Dogs Koh Chang takes care of you and will do all that you are doing well.

What’s in it for You?

In exchange for free accommodation free use of charged scooter and scooter/sidecar, as well as free drinking water.

Your host expects a minimum stay of 3-4 weeks. Dogs need time to trust new people and volunteers has to be trained which takes a few days until they can work independently and without supervision.
