London Hostels Association has been providing high quality accommodation in London since 1940. LHA is a leading provider of affordable accommodation in the heart of the city. Its rooms are used by students and young working professionals.

LHA is a charity managed by a voluntary Board of Trustees. It has thirteen large hostels providing affordable accommodation for nearly 2000 people. All have been modernised and refurbished over the past decade. In eight of the sites residents prepare their own food in shared kitchens. The remainder offers a catered service with large buffet-style cafeterias.

Volunteering positions available for an immediate start, where you can improve your English, gain work experience, get training (looks great on your CV!) and make lifelong friends.

Volunteers get FREE shared accommodation for just 20-22 hours a week doing one of the following activities:

• Helping at reception
• Helping in the kitchen
• Portering
• Cleaning

Volunteering can be done at any one of LHA sites – and most sites come with free meals too!

Volunteers experience all the same flexible living benefits that guests do (just give  7 days notice if you wish to leave) and you’ll have the opportunity to make many friends within the LHA community.

All volunteers must be at least 18 years old.
