Located conveniently between Osaka and Kyoto, Osaka English House offers both private rooms and dorms, creating an immersive environment with 24/7 English exposure to encourage natural language learning. In addition to its hospitality, the hostel runs a free volunteer program, allowing guests to engage with the local community. Read on for more details!

About the free volunteer program

Words from your host: “This is the perfect opportunity if you want to go sightseeing around Osaka, Kyoto and Nara. We are currently looking for volunteers who would like to help us with cleaning/housekeeping while staying at our guesthouse for free. We offer a private room and many more benefits. We are a very close group that loves to meet people from all around the world and share our knowledge on the Japanese culture. We welcome everyone, solo travelers and couples alike! *we only accept working holiday visas or student visas*

Activties & shifts

• 3 hours per days: from 11:00am until 2:00pm.
• 15 hours per week total.
• 2 consecutive days off.
• We ask the volunteers to clean the common spaces, the rooms, and sometimes gardening and other jobs.
• We sometimes ask for help with English conversation as we are an English school for Japanese people as well.
