Pirwa Hostels is the largest chain of hostels in Peru and Bolivia located in Arequipa, Cusco, Machu Picchu, Nazca, La Paz, Lima and Puerto Maldonado.

Pirwa’s always looking for volunteers to work shifts in the hostel in exchange for food and lodging. Areas in which they accept helpers are: bar & events in the evenings, reception in the mornings or in the afternoons, and events in the afternoons.

In exchange, they offer a free bed in a shared dorm room, breakfast, and some money for lunch. For volunteers, a minimum stay of at least one month is required, but longer stays are our preference, and several months to a year is fine (as there is no upper limit). If you work 7 days, you have an additional 3 days of lodging, to accomodate excursions.
