Dao House Retreat Center sits in a beautiful valley 7 miles from Estes Park, North of Denver Colorado. The majestic views of Longs Peak at 14,250 ft. brings instant peace-of-mind and well-being. This amazing resort is surrounded entirely with untouched nature and wildlife, you don’t even have to leave the property to hike or bike. The most amazing thing is that you will stay at 9000 feet above sea level, which means that the temperature can swing more than 20 degrees a day. The sun can be quite warm, and at night it can be chilly. It rarely gets into low 80’s during the hottest part of the day during the peak of summer, and the nights are always cool enough to sleep comfortably.

About the work exchange program

Dao House opens its dorms for a work exchange opportunity this summer. Dao House is on 85 acres along with the Rocky Mountain National Park provides a playground of hiking, rock climbing, biking, photography, fishing, kayaking, writing, painting and more. One of the world’s top destinations for adventure.

A wonderful opportunity to get away from the city. The work exchange program is designed to provide flexibility to pursue your activity. You work 30 hours a week for private room and board. Assignments might include

• facilities maintenance,
• housekeeping,
• cooking

You may bring an expertise as well.

Good to klonw

No Cell Coverage. No known cell service works consistently on the property. There is a pretty decent WiFi and it is free to use though. It is reliant on technology that the center has no control over. It goes out every now and then. Most companies seem to cover Lily Lake, which is only a couple miles toward Estes, and worth a visit any way.
