Work exchange opportunity at Canada’s historic retreat center

Canada retreat center workexchan ge

Nestled within 400 acres of peaceful, quiet forest, this unique sanctuary offers a chance to deepen your mindfulness while giving back. The Server-Meditator Program invites newcomers for a foundational two-week stay, while returning practitioners can immerse themselves for up to a month. In exchange for about 30 hours of weekly service like gardening, cooking, or property care, your meals, housing, and spiritual teachings are fully covered. It is a beautifully balanced lifestyle that includes a dedicated day each week solely for your personal practice. This experience is the perfect opportunity to slow down, connect with nature, and discover a lasting path toward inner peace.

About the work exchange program

The program focuses on the balance between giving back and looking inward. For those who are completely new to the centre, the journey begins with a foundational two-week stay to get acclimated to the environment, the routines, and the community dynamics. Returning practitioners are welcome to dive deeper into their practice for a minimum of two weeks up to a maximum of 30 days. Any extensions beyond the initial timeline are reviewed and decided at the discretion of the Dharma Centre of Canada administration. The schedule is structured to ensure that your volunteer contributions flow seamlessly into your spiritual journey, allowing you to experience community living as a form of active mindfulness.
