Work exchange opportunity in a peaceful Maine retreat, USA

Work exchange at a yoga retreat in Maine

Spend a season in a quiet, nature-filled town in northern Maine, surrounded by forests, lakes, and fresh air. You’ll help out with daily tasks like kitchen work, housekeeping, or creative projects while living on site with room and meals included. Free time is often spent hiking, swimming, or joining yoga and meditation practices. The atmosphere is relaxed, supportive, and community-focused. It’s a great fit for someone who enjoys simple living and wants meaningful work in a calm setting.

About the work exchange program

At Sewall House Yoga Retreat, the work exchange program offers the chance to live and work at a seasonal yoga and wellness retreat in the peaceful town of Island Falls, Maine. Running from the last weekend in May through the second weekend in October, the program is rooted in community living, mindful work, and shared daily rhythms. Team members support the retreat while enjoying a slower pace of life surrounded by forests, lakes, and open skies. In exchange for your contribution, you receive room and board and are welcome to join yoga classes, meditation sessions, hikes, and lake activities alongside guests. Many participants describe the experience as grounding and rewarding, with strong connections formed through simple living and meaningful work. A minimum stay of one month is required, with longer stays encouraged.
