Casa Yogafriends is an exclusive retreat center offering yoga classes situated near Lajares, a cute small town on the volcanic island of Fuerteventura, Canary Island. Countless white sandy beaches are only a short drive away. Small fishing villages with fantastic sand dunes, the volcano of Lajares are among those cool places you’ll have a chance to discover. Hiking, biking, rail running or surfing -it’s all there for you.

About the work exchange program

Casa Yogafriends is looking for friendly, reliable helpers 25+ years of age with good English for the following tasks:

• Gardening
• Building
• Babysitting / child care
• Cooking / shopping
• General Maintenance
• Help in the house
• Helping with Tourists
• Help with Computers / internet
• Teaching

The daily work is very diverse, receiving fruit delivery, setting table, feeding dish washer after dinner, help with

Yoga teachers, massage therapists, photographers and social media pros and volunteers who like running and sports and of course Yoga are the most needed. Vegan background is appreciated as well.

Casa Yogafriends run 7 days retreats regularly and volunteers help 5 of these days. The work is not hard work, but time intensive. Being present and putting table for dinner is not hard work, but you have to be there on a schedule.

Cleanliness is a top priority in the center, so you’ll need to keep your place nice and tidy as well as common areas must be kept well organized and maticulusly clean.

During retreat weeks an on-site cook prepares dinner for guests and work exchangers and in off-weeks you are expected to prepare your own food, money for shopping is provided.

You will receive free accommodation (in a yurt, or in private room) in exchange for your hard work. Work exchangers are expected to be available for work 5 hours a day, 5 days a week.
