Good Earth Organic Farm is located 70 miles northeast of Dallas, Texas, on 175 acres of land. Since 1984, the farm has implemented sustainable farming techniques to organically grow seasonal fruits and vegetables, as well as grass-fed sheep. The farm’s goals are focused on the natural growth of food, emphasizing the medicinal benefits of such meals for the body, with respect to maintaining homeostasis and preventing disease. About the free volunteer / work exchange program

Good Earth Organic Farm offers both Long-Term and Short-Term volunteer (work exchange) opportunities for those interested in gaining hands-on experience in organic farming.

The farm is seeking individuals who are eager to contribute to the farm’s daily activities, with the opportunity to work 30 hours per week in exchange for room and board, as well as a rich learning experience in sustainable farming. Interns are expected to commit to at least two weeks on the farm to gain the full benefit of the experience.

In addition to internship opportunities, day volunteers are also welcome to spend a day on the farm, contributing to farm chores while learning about farm life and organic practices.

What volunteers will do

Volunteers will have the chance to participate in a wide range of tasks, including:

• Farm chores: Gardening, greenhouse work, and general farming tasks.
• Animal care: Shepherding, dog grooming, and other animal-related tasks.
