Sivananda Ashram Beacon Yoga Centre is located 3 kilometres from the heart of the port city of Fremantle, Australia. The Ashram sits in lush acreage high upon a hill, overlooking Beaconsfield, with the ocean to the west and a beacon of light and inspiration to all who visit.
Beacon Yoga Centre has accommodation available for those who would like to experience an ashram lifestyle.
Volunteers will receive free vegetarian meals and accommodation in exchange for kitchen work, garden work, housework, ashram maintenance projects, etc. Wake up to morning meditation, attend an inspiring talk or participate in a study group. Join a daily hatha yoga class, share in karma yoga duties and browse through the library stacked with yoga, philosophy, religious and Self-awareness books.
