Work trade opportunities in Belize from February

Sattva Land is a permaculture farm and a Wholistic Lifestyle Centre nested at the base of the Maya Mountains in the lush Stann Creek region of Belize. Located on the scenic Hummingbird Hwy, our 20 acres of broadleaf rainforest are home to a project that offers a complete immersion into the radical beauty of Nature.

Four work trade opportunities are offered to anyone ready to become part of the Sattva Land family:

I. Logistics Coordinator

Responsibilities:

•  Managing social media accounts and updating Sattva’s website
• Creating and designing content such as photos, banners, printed collateral, and other projects
• Responding to volunteers, guests, and other inquiries
• Managing profile on external listing sites
• Event planning in coordination with the executive team
• Managing public relations

II. Plant Based Cook

Responsibilities:

• Preparing Lunch and Dinner for fellow work-traders and volunteers
•  Keeping kitchen and eating area clean and tidy
• Greenhouse harvest and general maintenance
• Food processing management (soaking, washing, sprouting, drying, and processing different food elements from the land)
• Occasional help with ‘Taste of Sattva’ food product production, packaging and promotion

III. Permaculturist

Responsibilities:

• Food Forest care (pruning, mulching, composting)
• Plant Propagation
• Weeding and watering
•  Animal husbandry
• Vermiculture care
• Harvest for kitchens
• Maintenance within ornamental and Herb Gardens

IV. Handyman

Responsibilities:

• Site maintenance
• Building projects
• Assistance to project managers
• Carpentry
