Run by experienced yoga teachers Peter and Sue, who have over 16 years of teaching in Portugal, the retreat offers a variety of practices to nurture the body and mind. Set in 7 hectares of serene forest, the retreat provides the perfect backdrop for peaceful walks and deep relaxation. Nourishing, organic meals are prepared by a talented team of chefs to support the body’s natural detox process.

Yoga Evolution Retreat offers a volunteer program where participants can assist with food preparation, animal care, and various farm-related tasks.

About the yoga retreat volunteer program

The retreat is offering spaces for committed, motivated, and enthusiastic individuals with an interest in yoga and the natural environment to participate in a Karma Yoga work exchange program.

Participants will be asked to work 25 hours per week over six days, which equates to approximately four hours per day. This position provides a valuable opportunity to learn about healthy vegan cooking and the daily operations of a community yoga retreat center.

Main duties

• Duties will primarily involve assisting Selina, the Professional Chef and Nutritional Therapist, in the retreat’s beautifully located kitchen. Tasks will include vegetable prep and helping to create a variety of delicious meals.
• Other responsibilities will include caring for the retreat’s animals, hanging laundry, and watering the garden.
