Papalani Farm is serene organic avocado and macnut farm with an abundance of tropical fruit trees,veggies, herbs, flowers & berries in Hawaii. Along with nature’s abundance, Papalani offers vacation rentals, spa services, and volunteer opportunities for those who wish to learn and experience organic gardening and a sustainable way of life.

Extremely responsible&mature volunteers needed  to help out and live in the new cottage here at Papalani farm from april to november. Volunteers will help in plant identification, tree trimming, seeding, gardening, etc. Other responsibilities are: look after the animals at times, pull weeds, pick mac nuts, plant gardens & trees, harvest gardens & trim trees & possibly clean the vacation rentals or other “odd” jobs.

The farm is 30 miles south of Kailua-Kona in a remote location (meaning no neighbors are visible) at 1600ft elevation. Buses go right by the house 2x/day for your transportation & they are only $2.

Beaches are between 5 miles -20 miles away & we are 60 miles from Volcano National Park. The volunteer cottage is on solar and completely off grid. It is also on catchment water (water that falls from the sky).
