The quarter acre garden in Toot Baldon (Oxfordshire, England) is a busy place at all times of the year. It’s constantly evolving with new projects and experiments every season.  Established by Lizie, an enthusiastic gardener this amazing place has been supplying villagers with flowers since 2015. Now it’s your chance to learn about to cut, hang, condition flowers and est up flower installations, apply for this wonderful opportunity!

“Come and help me in my beautiful English garden. Learn all aspects of sowing, tending and cutting flowers for market and events.
Learn how to cut and hang flowers for drying…and how to weave natural wreath bases for flower garlands. Also how to cut and condition flowers for fresh bunches and bouquets.

Help with flower installation for large events.

Help grow vegetables and fruit. Take care of my 6 bantam hens. Depending on the season, forage in the local countryside for blackberries, elderflower etc to make jams and cordial.

Help with cleaning and maintenance of house and outbuildings.

Enjoy the glorious countryside of Oxfordshire and the historic University city of Oxford with its famous spires and college buildings.

Go wild swimming in a couple of beautiful local spots.”

What’s in it for You?

• Accommodation is near the main house ( a 16th century thatched cottage) but completely independant.
• A small, charming bedroom suitable a couple or single person. Adjacent toilet and sink.
• Hot outdoor shower in the garden.
• Cooking facilities with microwave oven, fridge, freezer washing machine in an outbuilding next to the bedroom. There is also a sitting room in the main house available if required.
