Set atop a ridge in the valley of San Juan de Dios in Costa Rica Cascada Elysiana Eco Lodge is situated in the hearth of a Natural Wonderland, featuring one of Costa Rica’s most beautiful waterfalls. This magnifient place is also close to The Whale’s Tail Beach at Marino Ballena National Park which is one of the most popular tour destinations in all of Latin America. The Southern Pacific Coast of Costa Rica is blessed with an astounding amount of water springing up from the aquifers high in the mountains in amazing displays of cascading beauty. Among these are the Diamante Falls, Nauyaca Falls, Eco Chantales and of course Cascada Elysiana. Dominical, 25 minutes down the mountain, is famous for it’s surfing and beautiful beaches line the coast from Jacó down to the Osa Peninsula.

Internship and work exchange program details

Internships

• 3 month min, at no monetary cost
• $300 Deposit paid at arrival, $100 returned at the end of each month.
• Lodging & All Meals included (If you stay for the full 90 days, full deposit is returned)

Project manager intern

​Experienced builder capable of leading work-traders in furniture building and other small construction projects (mostly with masonry, bamboo and wood.)

Get creative and design your own projects. Work outdoors in the open air in the beautiful Costa Rican rain forest.

All necessary tools are provided!

Permaculture intern

​This position is perfect for someone who has permaculture experience, can work independently and wants to work in exchange to practice this skill set.

Volunteer coordinator intern​

You will assist the General Manager in guest services,

• bookings & reception,
• community outreach and activities,
• managing and recruiting work-trade,
• organizing activities, etc.

Work exchange opportunites

• 1 month min. – $360 for the 1st month, $12 daily after
• Lodging & All Meals included
• Minimum 1 month stay @ $360/month (option to extend your stay @ $12/day after the 1st month)

Kitchen and cleaning

​Help preparing communal meals as well as regular cleaning duties counts toward your weekly hours, even when there are no guests.

​Finca help

• ​Carve and maintain trails
• Natural building projects (wood & bamboo)
• Organic gardening, greenhouse and landscape, etc.
