Program details

The Lazy Duck stands beside waterfowl ponds in a 6 acre/ 2 hectare homestead looking south, across a 100 acre moor to the Cairngorm Mountains in Scotland. The hostel offers hospitality to small groups of travellers and to families and activity or leisure seeking groups.

Skilled, motivated and resilient volunteer helpers are needed to join the resident and local team with the care, housekeeping, management and maintenance of this 8-bed hostel, 3 off-grid eco-huts and 4-pitch camping ground. Then there are the visitors themselves, – plus ducks, hens, sheep, polytunnel, gardens and woodlands all within this 6 acre homestead in the Cairngorms National Park, Scottish Highlands.
